Senior / Lead Software Engineer

The role

At Trendwick, you lead the building of our AI chat assistant and AI trading agents.

You plan how things should work, write the important parts yourself, and guide a small team of about three junior developers.

Open to any graduate or post-graduate with 3–5 years of software development experience. No trading knowledge is needed; we teach you our products and the markets.

Skills for this role: Python, Java, C/C++, System design, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, LLMs and AI agents (for example LangChain or RAG), Docker and cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), CI/CD and Git, Code review and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan the AI assistant: decide how our AI chat assistant and AI agents work, including which AI model to use, how they remember things and which tools they can use.
• Build the core: write the main backend in Python and Java, and the fast parts in C/C++.
• Connect AI to trading: link the AI with live market data, indicators and backtests so it gives useful answers.
• Keep the AI safe: make sure it never gives personal investment advice and cannot be misused.
• Lead trading tools: guide the building of indicators and EAs on TradingView, MetaTrader and cTrader, and check the trading logic.
• Guide your team: review your juniors' code, teach them and plan their tasks.
• Plan with product: work with Product Owners to break big features into small tasks.
• Automate releases: set up automatic testing and releasing (CI/CD) and deploy on the cloud.
• Fix problems fast: lead the fix when something breaks in the live product.
• Protect our work: keep our code, data and licence keys secure.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Strong Python, good Java and working C/C++.
• Hands-on work with AI models (LLMs), or a strong AI project.
• Experience guiding junior developers.
• English and any Indian language.
